They take a couple of minutes to read and absorb till the next part comes along. So take a deep breath and read on. Here goes Part - 1...

What a Logo is
- It is a graphic representation of a business/company. It is the first thing people see about your service or product(s) and it a part of your branding.
- A Logo’s main job is to be easily recognizable and evoke some kind of emotional response. If available, the consumer needs to feel a kind of affinity towards the logo to trust your brand/business.
- It should reflect the core values of the business. Think reliable, solid, friendly, innovative, classic, modern, edgy etc.
What a Logo is not
- It is not a generic icon. Think beyond the generic web icons or road signs that you come across in your everyday lives.
- It is not your entire branding. While a logo has its importance and it strongly recommended, if you are just starting out and don’t have the budget for a good one, focus on building the business first. Think about what your business is about and what colors represent it best. Remember, it is the feeling that you are trying to evoke.
- It is not ‘just something pretty’. You maybe working for yourself but the business and everything that goes along with it, is not about you. It is about the people you are trying to serve and reach. Without them, there is no work. So when you are ready to invest in a logo, think about your target audience and what they are likely respond to.
